Quick Quotes
Q. After a really low first round, is it difficult to try to follow that up?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, I feel better about today's round. I didn't play my best the first sort of 12 holes, and then I hung in there and then finished up great.
Q. I'm just wondering, with a win conceivable here and then Ryder Cup picks just shortly after the day, have you thought about what a two-day stretch could look like if you pull off something nice?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, I think about it every second. I would like to sit here and lie to you guys and say I'm not thinking about it, but like periodically throughout the round it will pop into my head. But it's impossible for me not to think about. So I'm sort of trying to embrace it. I'm playing good golf. But the FedExCup's most important right now.
Q. You've talked about the pressure that you felt over the last month. Is it difficult when a shot doesn't go your way or you get a bad bounce to not overreact with every shot when you feel like you do have that pressure on your back?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah. Yeah, it is. It's tough, man. When you get down to the end of the year, when you're in this sort of atmosphere, this is important to us and every shot's important, every round's important. So proud of the way I played today.
Q. What are you most encouraged by or proud of for the first two rounds?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Well, I'm really proud of today's round, because I didn't play my best. I played great coming in. This is a tough track. So I'm proud of that.
I feel pretty good out there, pretty confident, pretty calm. For me, that's pretty good. And I'm rolling and putting it really well. So that's exciting.
Q. When Collin's hitting it the way he is, is there any part where you're just like you're impressed as a fellow TOUR player watching it?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, I'm always impressed. I'm impressed watching Viktor play. I'm impressed watching Collin play. I think I'm playing with Scottie tomorrow. I'm excited to watch him play. This younger generation of players is exciting to watch. I love being out there and playing with these guys.
Q. Do you think anything that happens this one week should or could factor into the Ryder Cup discussions?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Well, like I said yesterday, I mean, it's a two-year long qualifying process with the tournament a month away. I mean, it certainly can't hurt. I know that. But I'm just trying my best to not think too much about it, but I got people with microphones asking me every second, and then when I'm walking the fairways, people yell it out to me every second. So I sort of have to embrace it. But I'm doing a good job so far.
Q. Forgive me for asking another, then, but if were you making your pitch to Zach, I mean, what would your sell be for yourself to get a spot?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: I feel like I've had a great year. Won twice. Won at Hartford, which had one of the best fields in the world. But, listen, I'm not going to pitch Zach. He knows who I am. He knows the type of player I am. He also knows the type of player all these other guys are that are up for picks and they're all incredible players and good guys. So I'm going to do my best to play great golf the next two days and see what happens.
Q. Where is that Ryder Cup bag that you haven't unpacked and why?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: What's that?
Q. Where is the Ryder Cup bag that you haven't unpacked and why have you still not done that?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: It's in my garage. I thought for awhile I'll never open it again. So hopefully I get a chance to play on this team. If I don't, I'm going to be rooting hard. There's been, in years past it's been really hard for me to watch the Ryder Cup because I just haven't been in the conversation to be on the team. But this year if I don't make the team it will be different. I'll watch and I'll be pulling for the guys just as if I was playing.
Q. What do you think it smells like in there?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: Not very good.
Q. You said this is the first time playing in this format. The last time you were here had the nines been switched already?
KEEGAN BRADLEY: I played it once with the nines switched. It's still, I still, when I look at my book, I still, when I'm over there I think about 15 and it's not. It's bizarre. I was talking to Collin's caddie. He told him to meet him on 10 on Tuesday and he went to the first hole. So you know, it's funny. I really like it this way though, I think it's better.
