Quick Quotes
Q. Kim, round of 69 on day three at Galgorm. Talk me through your day.
KIM METRAUX: Just a very solid day overall. Managed to hit the ball better than yesterday and the putter stayed hot, so really pleased with that.
Q. Still had lots of birdies out there from all over the place. Talk me through a few of your favorites from today.
KIM METRAUX: I would say the one on 14 was really good. Hit it to about six feet, and it was nice to get to 5-under for the day.
That was probably the favorite one.
Q. You said yesterday about hitting lots of fairways and greens and that would be the key at the weekend. How important is it to keep doing that, but also the fact you're able to scramble from other places?
KIM METRAUX: Yeah, I think fairways and greens are still super important with the conditions and the rough being wet.
Thankfully they moved quite a few of the tees up, so at least if you got into the rough and you had a shorter iron in or wedge, it wasn't as bad as it would've been yesterday.
Yeah, still definitely a key to hit as many greens as possible.
Q. What changed from yesterday into today's round apart from slightly better weather conditions?
KIM METRAUX: Yeah, played a lot shorter. Most of the tee box I didn't think they would use them, so quite a bit of changes and strategic like thinking. Yeah, just trying to figure out where to play and the best option. So a bit of thinking.
Q. And obviously you're in contention heading into the final day. How do you feel about that? You've been in this position before on the LET, but obviously to do it in a co-sanctioned event.
KIM METRAUX: Yeah, it feels good. Been working on my game quite a lot and did a few changes over the winter and had a struggle earlier in the season, and now it's finally coming along, so just really enjoying to be in that position.
Was able to not really think about it too much and just focus on taking it one shot at a time. Did that really well, so hoping to do that again tomorrow.
Q. Tomorrow what's the game plan and mentality?
KIM METRAUX: Still just focusing on my game, and then be aggressive when I can. Some of the greens are -- most of the greens are soft now, so be aggressive when the flags are not too tuck, and then otherwise just hitting the greens and making the pars.
Q. I know your parents normally travel with you. How nice is it to have your dad here with you?
KIM METRAUX: It's really nice to have him here. Last year obviously my sister was playing so we were all four; happened a few times this year as well. Definitely nice when we can be with parts of the family or the whole family.
