Quick Quotes
Q. Kim, very much still in contention here in Northern Ireland. Started with an eagle today. Talk me through that.
KIM METRAUX: Yeah, it was good. Hit it just on the back edge of the green in two and managed to roll in the 12-footer for eagle.
It was nice to get a few ahead early and just have a bit of a margin for what was coming next with the wind and the tricky conditions.
Q. I was going to say, obviously everyone knew these tough conditions were coming with the wind and a little bit of rain, not too much. How do you cope with that?
KIM METRAUX: Yeah, thankfully we didn't have as much rain as planned. Yeah, very tricky with the wind, some tee shots, and even some shots into the green were quite tricky.
So, yeah, definitely hitting fairways and greens was key. Didn't get to do that all day long, but managed to limit the trouble so really happy with the fight today.
Q. Still made some really good birdie putts out there. How have you found your putting to be this week? And adjusting to obviously the greens between the two different courses.
KIM METRAUX: Yeah, so putter has been hotter than usual so it's quite nice. Liking it so far. Adjusting was, yeah, not the easiest. The greens obviously on the links course, Castlerock, are a little bit slower. So yesterday afternoon I came and did a bit of putting to just try and get that speed in.
I think I had one three-putt, so other than that one that I really smashed the rest was pretty good.
Q. In terms of tomorrow, now you've played here, you know what it's like here. We stay here for the rest of the weekend. What did you learn from Galgorm that you can take into tomorrow?
KIM METRAUX: Just really stay patient and limit the mistakes. Try and hit as many fairways and greens as possible. As long as you're putting, probably be fine, so that's probably the key.
