Q. Take us through your round today.
ALLY EWING: Obviously the situation was tough, coming out with pretty windy conditions. Took me a little bit longer than I would have liked to settle in.
The nerves were obviously there but at the same time, I was mentally in a good place to know that I was going to be presented with challenges. Didn't execute shots quite like I wanted to early on but I fought really hard today, and you know I'm teeing it up tomorrow with still a great chance to win this golf tournament.
Q. For tomorrow, do you feel like the field can be more aggressive or do you guys feel like you're playing more against the golf course than yourselves?
ALLY EWING: Yeah, I mean, it's a balance game, right. It's a major championship, so you can't really get -- you can't just go out there and attack pins, because you know, you'll end up in short-sided situations, really tough to get the ball up-and-down.
So whether it's the golf club that you're hitting, the distance, the approach number, where the pin is located, there are so many different things that factor into whether you can attack a pin or not, so we'll just attack hole-by-hole tomorrow and see what yields it.
Q. Knowing what you achieved yesterday and the day before, does that give you a lot of confidence going into tomorrow, like you know how to play this golf course?
ALLY EWING: Yeah, I don't lose any confidence today other than I gritted my teeth when it wasn't great, and I still gave myself a chance to win this golf tournament tomorrow.
Certainly, would I like to go out free-spirited and shoot another 66? Yes. But the test was hard. And regardless of what the scores showed at the end of the day, I fought and gave myself a chance for tomorrow.
