Q. Good to see you smiling. Nervous wait this afternoon, or do you think you're okay?
STEPHANIE MEADOWS: It's always nerve-wracking you never quite know especially on a course we've never really played before judging off yesterday, should be fine. But I don't like to, you know, it's not over till the fat lady sings, so that's it, yeah.
Q. Hope the wind picks up this afternoon?
STEPHANIE MEADOWS: Yeah, I hope so. There were some really tricky pins out there and this golf course, you hit it off the fairway, it's super penal.
So yeah, I would have loved to have made par on 18, but you know, hit it okay. Tee shot ended up in the bunker, and as this golf course, 60 yards out and try to get up-and-down.
So still, either way, happy with how I played today, not feeling my best by any means, so I'm glad to have even finished the two rounds to be honest.
Q. Sounds like you have a cold?
STEPHANIE MEADOWS: I've got a cold, so I gave it all I had.
Q. As you say, plus one, it is a difficult challenge, and Ally is playing incredible. You must still be pretty pleased with your performance?
STEPHANIE MEADOWS: Yeah, if you look at the scores, I haven't seen the full leaderboard but obviously I saw that Ally was 9-under or something but the rest of it is kind of bunched.
So hopefully it will somewhat stay like that and then if I get to play the weekend, if you play good, shoot 3-, 4-under, you can make some serious moves on the weekend.
Q. What's it been like just being around this kind of course this week in an elevated championship. Exciting times?
STEPHANIE MEADOWS: Definitely. I love the track. It's great. The R&A has always put tons of money into our facilities Jim and the food and everything has been really great. Seems like there's a lot of people out here, so it's nice to have a little bit of a home crowd. It's just great to see people coming out and watching us play.
