CAMERON YOUNG: I've been playing really, really well, so I knew that I had every chance to put myself right in the middle of the golf tournament, and unfortunately just didn't do it today.

Q. Any particular reason? Can you put it down to the weather?

CAMERON YOUNG: No, it wasn't the weather. I think if you watched, you probably saw some mediocre putting. I just struggled with the greens all week. I think tee to green I was probably one of the best couple in the field, if not the best, and that definitely let me down this week.

Q. What's the combination of excitement, how well you played, and contending again versus frustration at not quite getting it done?

CAMERON YOUNG: I think there's some positives to take. My level of excitement with tied for eighth is absolutely zero.

But I mean, yet again, I put myself in a position to win a major championship and had an unfortunate day. But one of these times the unfortunate day will be the next Tuesday or something and not Sunday. Yeah.
