MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Yeah, great finish. Obviously really pleased with the score. Felt like was a bit of a scramble at times, but yeah, definitely scored really well.

Q. What about the conditions out there?

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: I think we probably had the best of the conditions, to be honest. Feel like the wind is getting up a bit more now and we definitely didn't have that when we tee'd off, which was nice.

Q. (Regarding the good and the bad at 17.)

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: No. You know, I hit a bad shot, so that's my -- that's on me.

Was it too penal? I think it is too penal down there. Yeah, that's all I have to say really.

Q. (Indiscernible.)

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Yeah, over the green. I mean, I think if you ask the majority of people out here, I would say their opinion is on the slightly absolutely more negative side.

But, yeah, I hit a bad shot, got punished. At the same time, I think the punishment was a bit too severe.

Q. (Indiscernible.)

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Start again. I don't see what was wrong with the last hole personally. Yeah, I don't see -- uphill par-3s, I don't particularly like any uphill par-3s. I think it's a little bit too severe in a way.

I remember playing the last hole a long time ago, the last time, the par-3 which went the other way round I though was a great par-3. It was a really, really good par-3. Yeah, that's just my opinion.

Q. Unusual situation today with two brothers out playing in the third round of an Open. Were your parents splitting loyalties?

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: No. I told them to go focus on him. That's more important. This is my, what, ninth, so they've seen all nine of those.

This is his first, so that's more important.

Q. So you suggested it?

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: I did. They were going to do anyway. I think they caught a few of my early holes and got back to watch him.

Q. He's going well.

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: It looks it. Yeah, I saw his name pop up on the leaderboard, which is nice to see. Yeah, wouldn't mind if he finished 2-under. We might be able to sneak playing the last round together.

Q. (Indiscernible.)

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: Fine, yeah, just relax. Just enjoying it.

Q. Are you talking golf?

MATTHEW FITZPATRICK: No, not at all. Not really. I mean, make a couple of comments on a hole or two but that's about it really.
