Quick Quotes
Q. There wasn't much wind out there but the rain definitely came out and said hello. What were the biggest challenges?
RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, it was very scorable out there today. I think with a little bit of rain popping up here and there, different wind direction than we saw yesterday, so I thought it was, like I said, fairly scorable. I struggled a little bit off the tee and ended up in some fun situations.
Playing alongside Tyrrell who put together a nice round. Like I said, it was scorable, but like I said, you still had to put the ball in the right place.
Q. Which part of your game does this golf course demand the most of?
RICKIE FOWLER: I'd like to say a little bit of everything but I would say driving the ball, playing from the fairway obviously gives you control going into the greens and having a chance to play aggressive when you can, that I would say probably driving the ball, being the biggest key so that you are actually in a chance where you can be aggressive and try and go forward.
Q. As a recent winner out in the States, what did your prep look like coming into this week?
RICKIE FOWLER: A short couple days at home. I wish we would have had more time off. We had a trip scheduled to London with J.T. and Jordan and our wives, and so a bit of fun. Walked around London on Friday, played Sunningdale on Saturday and Wimbledon on Sunday. We had a great time and played North Berwick on Monday afternoon.
That was about all the golf we played prior to coming here. I always enjoy being over here in Scotland. Links golf is my favourite, especially when you get decent weather and the rain stays away, so hopefully we can continue that through the week.
Q. Sounds like a relaxing buildup to this week.
RICKIE FOWLER: It was a little bit of both.
