Quick Quotes
Q. First time playing out here; what was the round like and how has this experience been here?
RUSSELL AIDE: It's been amazing. It feels like a real pro tournament. Like everyone, all the volunteers and staff are just taking it so seriously. It's amazing.
Q. How did you watch it last year? Were you at home or did you see it on the internet, this championship?
RUSSELL AIDE: I didn't really realize it was happening until it ended. Then after that I watched clips of it on the internet. It looked really amazing.
Q. Has this been a goal for you to get here?
RUSSELL AIDE: Yeah. We've been definitely wanting to go in the next one ever since we saw that one last year.
Q. Youngest guy in the field going out there and hanging up there at the top of the leaderboard. What was this round like for you?
RUSSELL AIDE: I really just wanted to -- I didn't have many expectations. Just go out there and do the best I could do, keep my cool the whole time.
Q. What stood out to you about this round?
RUSSELL AIDE: Probably my other playing partners. They played from different tees, but all different abilities, and they all got around the golf course really well. It was really inspiring, I think.
Q. Now that you're here and you watch the clips, what are the feelings like? Like you said, it's like a pro Tour out here.
RUSSELL AIDE: Seeing the cameras everywhere on each hole, it's really exciting.
Q. Not nervous?
RUSSELL AIDE: On the first tee I was. Then after that it kind of evened out.
Q. You're the youngest one in the field. Is there anyone out here that you look up to or anyone that's served as a mentor to you within the golf community?
RUSSELL AIDE: Definitely the other Canadians because I'm from Ontario, and there's other Ontarians. It's kind of an inner circle. Like Kurtis Barkley, Chris Willis, Natasha Stasiuk, we all communicate with each other, and it's a great group.
Q. You got an early afternoon here. Is there anything that you do this afternoon to rest and recover, or how do you look ahead to tomorrow's round?
RUSSELL AIDE: I'll probably go out to the practice area and make some tweaks and stuff, and I'll go back and rest up, get ready for tomorrow.
