Quick Quotes
Q. Had to be a very pleasing finish with that birdie.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, it was good. I felt like I played solid all day, to be fair. I played pretty good, and it was nice to birdie the last hole because it's a tricky little par-5.
Q. How did you play so even keel today? There weren't many bogeys to your round where others seemed to be struggling.
CHARLEY HULL: It's nice out there; enjoying it. The biggest problem with me is I get bored on the golf course because there's such good views.
When I'm getting bored I just look around and it kind of takes me away from it and kind of get more interested in my golf, and I'm really enjoying it out there.
Q. I noticed you were actually looking at the views on the 18th.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I was. Yeah, that helps a lot. I struggle to concentrate on the golf course sometimes, so actually taking it all in, looking at the views, is actually helping a lot.
Q. Why do you think it is that so many players have started well today but they're having trouble coming home?
CHARLEY HULL: Because the front nine is downwind and the back nine is back into the breeze and it's quite gusty out there, so I think that's one of the main reasons why.
Q. Your position now is you're really not that far from the lead --
CHARLEY HULL: No, I'm not, I see that.
Q. Anything can happen tomorrow. What do you think you have to do tomorrow --
CHARLEY HULL: Just keep plodding away, keep hitting fairways and greens, and keep holing putts. I reckon, yeah, just keep plodding away because on this golf course anything can happen, and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow.
Q. With the leaders coming down the stretch here, what do you think are the one or two key holes that they've got to manage?
CHARLEY HULL: Last hole is a tricky little hole, but I think just the holes coming in, like 16, 17, into off the right, so it's going to move the ball pretty far that way. There's some tricky -- not tricky little pins, but I hit a great shot on 17 and it just bounced through, and it was only 15 feet away from the pin but I was chipping and I was in the collar of the rough, as well. Just shots like that can be quite tricky.
Q. Are you somebody that hopes the wind blows tomorrow?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I like it when it's tough. When the tough get going -- what is it? When the going gets tough, the tough get going. That's what my dad always used to say to me.
