Q. Patty, if you don't mind taking us through overall how you thought it went today.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Pretty solid golf. I feel like I still left a couple shots out there. But overall the first round of the U.S. Open I would always take an under-par round.

Q. 1-under, does it kind of feel like you're still right there, able to go out and shoot something good tomorrow?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I'm just going to take a lot of positives on to tomorrow. I feel like there's a lot of good out there that I can build on, but if anything just stay patient and stay calm and grounded and just keep enjoying this beautiful golf course.

Q. Obviously played some practice rounds, but how did it feel to play the first competitive round at Pebble for a U.S. Open?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: It's just so pretty. I feel like just looking out to the ocean here and the sound of the waves just really calms me down. It's a good feeling, and I'm really happy to be here.
