Press Conference
M. BOUZKOVA/A. Kontaveit
6-1, 6-2
THE MODERATOR: Welcome to the press conference for Anett Kontaveit.
Anett, give us your feelings right now.
ANETT KONTAVEIT: Yeah, just a lot of emotions. There's sadness, there's happiness, there's a bit of everything.
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. Your family was very emotional. A lot of people there for you. What was it like to have them there?
ANETT KONTAVEIT: Yeah, it was incredible to have Court 18 full of people, so many people cheering for me.
Of course, the match didn't go the way I wanted it to, but I was so happy to be able to play in front of so many people, that so many people that love me were able to see me play for the last time - in singles.
Q. Are you giving second thoughts?
ANETT KONTAVEIT: No, I mean, it's because of my back injury. I'm pretty firm with this decision.
Q. With the back, what does it feel like day to day? Does it also affect things with your everyday life?
ANETT KONTAVEIT: Yeah, when I stand up for too long or sit down for too long in the same position, it starts bothering me. So also.
Q. Do you think stopping tennis will make it better in everyday life?
ANETT KONTAVEIT: I do hope that if I don't give it that much load with the exercises -- not exercises, but with tennis and the movement that is involved with tennis, it will feel better in everyday life. I hope so. I don't actually know.
