SentryWorld
Quick Quotes
Q. You had a few birdies today. Got to start with the normal question from yesterday. Did you finally figure out why everything was going right, and did you correct it?
DICKY PRIDE: For the most part, yes, I still hit a few right, but I took some video and sent them to my teacher, Dan Snyder. He said the same thing, my hips and my shoulders and my body were square, but my feet were closed. When you do that, you can't get your left hip out of the way, so I was trapping myself inside.
I said yesterday I'm trapped inside, but I didn't know why. Apparently that was it. I sent him some video from the range yesterday and put some alignment sticks down and worked on it and pretty much played it all day. So I hit it a lot better.
Q. Last I looked, you were one of only eight in the field to be under par. Where does this SentryWorld, the course, rank in difficulty across other larger events that you've played at?
DICKY PRIDE: It's right up there. I mean, it's just a hard golf course. There's no two ways about it. You can make up a lot of stuff.
I think the hardest course I've ever played in competition was Oakmont, the U.S. Open in 2016. It's not there, but it's not far off either.
Q. And then just recapping the week, what did you think of the course? What did you think of the atmosphere across the overall week?
DICKY PRIDE: I think the atmosphere was phenomenal. Everyone came out and supported. It was a lot of fun. The golf course was in great shape. It was a difficult test.
What Bernhard is doing is amazing. For a first-timer to come out and win like that (laughing). I think it's his 46th. If he wins, it will be 46. He's got a five-shot lead right now.
That's just amazing. It's not surprising, if you know him, to see how he goes about his business, but it's still amazing.
