Q. Your week started with a 7-under 65 and ended with a bogey-free 69, just shy of the clubhouse lead. How do you reflect on your week?

JUSTIN ROSE: Yes, I mean, obviously good week. I've enjoyed it. Crowd were really rooting me on. Felt like I was struggling with momentum in the middle of the tournament, obviously sensing their frustration, and I was getting a little frustrated, too, because obviously I really want to play well here at home.

And today, yeah, I felt vet good. I felt like was on the front foot more most of the day. I did well I thought through the middle of front nine to keep it together, a couple of nice par saves, and then I really found my rhythm I thought on the back nine and obviously gave myself an opportunity.

You never quite know how the leaders are going to fair. There are some tough holes out there, but obviously got 15 and 17 which are good birdie opportunities.

So in terms of posting a number I was aware that 8 was in the clubhouse. I was hoping for a little more than 8 just to give myself what I thought would be a decent chance, but just come up a little short of that.

I look back at 17, really, the top of that green looked really browned out to me, you know what I mean. So I don't know, I felt like it was a faster putt than it was, and in that moment of the tournament, that was the one thing I look back on and think, maybe that was disappointing.

But other than that, I thought I gave it a good go today.

Q. How much are you looking forward to the Scottish Open and The Open Championship coming up the next few week?

JUSTIN ROSE: Very much. So this week has been a good test of everyone's game I think and it's a good sort of benchmark on where you're at. Normally you say that about a U.S. Open, but I felt like this week, the parameters, the fairways, how tight you had to hit the ball this week, I actually thought it was a really good week to get a read on your game.

So quite happy with the test and the way I passed that test and can hopefully build on that the next few weeks.
