Quick Quotes
Q. Fantastic finish, pleased with a 68 in the end?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: Yeah, I'm super happy. It's been an up-and-down tournament. I've had runs with lots of birdies and then a couple runs where I've dropped shots. So yeah, it's been a crazy day today but overall 4-under is a good score.
Q. How do you manage those emotions over the course of a round? Every time you piece a score together, you give it back; how do you manage that out there?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: Good question, I don't really know. It's been a key the last couple of weeks. I always hit it big after tough holes, and it was the same today. I was 4-under and then I got back to level par and finished with four birdies.
Yeah, I don't know. I'm quite proud of it because it's not usually that I'm doing that, but I don't know the secret. I wish I could tell you.
Q. The experiences you've had the last month or so, good chances to win on home soil, what do you take from those experiences? How is that motivation for tomorrow?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: Obviously confidence that I've been playing well and also Sundays, usually I have good Sundays. But on the other hand, you're also a bit disappointed. When you don't win, you feel like you let one go.
So you don't want to let another one go, so there's always a bit more pressure the next time, I'd say.
But overall, it doesn't matter. I just have to go out and do my thing, do the routine, stick to the process and at the end of the day, we always talk a lot that that's what it comes down to. Hopefully I can do the same tomorrow.
Q. That process, both times in Germany, did those performances change things at all or is it still the same as before?
MAXIMILIAN KIEFFER: No, it definitely gives you more confidence, and at the same time, I'm going to be more comfortable again when I'm in the situation and have a chance to win, especially because at home there's maybe that extra little bit of pressure.
So I definitely take confidence from that, a hundred percent, and also the way I've been playing the last couple of weeks. It gives me confidence, that's for sure, and then maybe when you have a bad run of a few holes, it's easier to get it back because you know if you stay patient, the game is going to show up.
