Quick Quotes
Q. Total of 5-under, pleased with today's work?
JAMES MORRISON: Very pleased. Today is the best I've played all week, and I hit the ball beautifully from tee-to-green. Made all the right birdies at the right time. Played that middle section really, really nicely. So that kind of kept the round going at the start there.
Playing with somebody like Thorbjørn, you know you have got to keep playing play well with him and to play with the top players. Feel comfortable, feel happy and hitting the ball well.
Q. You've had a real resurgence in your form last few weeks. Only made four of your first 13 cuts, and now made four of the last five and contended a couple of times. Is the work with Søren Hansen behind that? What's the key?
JAMES MORRISON: Keys are a lot of things. Søren has been great. Søren has really helped me out and got my swing back on track.
But you know, the year is so long, sometimes you start well, finish badly, and vice versa. So I've kind of had a bad slow start. But the season is so long and you know you just have to keep ticking along. We are only halfway through the season so far. I know it's hard to not look at results, but I've tried not to look at results and stick to the process as everyone says.
I'm playing good again. Look, the season is so long, and you've got to kind of stick to your guns and keep going with it.
Q. You've won twice before, but not for seven years. What would it mean to come out on top, particularly here at this iconic venue?
JAMES MORRISON: It would be great, yeah. Winning any golf tournament would be amazing. You know, at this point of my career, I'd absolutely love to win, and I feel I'm playing well enough to do that and mentally I'm in a good spot to do that.
The thing that helped me back is my mental side. So when my brain is in the right kind of atmosphere, I normally do okay. So touch wood, I'm in the right frame of mind, so hopefully fingers crossed and go again tomorrow.
