Q. 2-over par through nine, 4-under for the next eight and bogey at the last, how do you sum that up
YANNIK PAUL: I was hitting it slid on the front nine. Had a lot of awkward number, always in between clubs and then with the wind, it started to rain here and there.
So yeah, it was just -- I couldn't really get close to the pins. I felt the front nine were a bit tougher as well. I felt on the back nine could you get a few more chances and I hit a good drive on 18 and maybe just got a bit too greedy but yeah, overall, happy with my day.
Q. You had to withdraw last week from a tournament in your homeland, which I know would have been terribly disappointing for you with a back injury, and you said you only had a 20 or 30 per cent chance of playing here. How is it now?
YANNIK PAUL: It's better. My physio is here, Rob; he helped me a lot. Artur helped me a lot last week. I've just got to thank my team, Rob, all the other guys, just to be able to even tee it up this week. I got here on Tuesday, and yeah, the body wasn't feeling great. So I'm just happy to be out here and playing.
Q. You said after the first round that your expectations were lower because you didn't expect to be playing, and therefore your acceptance was higher. What about the expectations now that you're in such a good position?
YANNIK PAUL: Yeah, I mean, obviously I didn't really hit many balls, or any balls, really, the last ten days, so yeah, I'm just trying to enjoy it.
I feel like I've been in this position a lot of times now, so I feel quite comfortable and I know it's just halfway done. So still a lot of golf left and hopefully come the back nine on Sunday, I have a chance to win.
