Q. I know you didn't end the round the way you would like to, but Justin Leonard the other day said par is a good score. How do you feel about your game today and the course?

ADILSON DaSILVA: I feel like I drove the ball all right today. I gave myself some chances, and I think at this course it's --

ADILSON DaSILVA: Yeah, man, I had great partners today. I think, once you miss the fairway you've just got to bite the bullet and come sideways just about. Sometimes you still think you're going to the green and whatever, but yeah.

I think I drove well and my putting was okay today. I don't think it was too bad. Approach shot was a little bit disappointed. But I was happy. I didn't really make that many mistakes.

Q. If I told you at one point you'd be tied for the lead late in the day. If I told you that leading into this.

ADILSON DaSILVA: Well, it's amazing. So many great players and stuff. Yeah, it's nice to be here and be among the best. Yeah, it's very special.

Q. How do you feel going into round 2 given how well you played today?

ADILSON DaSILVA: I need to slow down again and then have a plan and hit shot by shot.

Sometimes you just get ahead of yourself. Towards the end there I was getting a little bit -- I don't know, just lost my patient a bit, I think. A bit frustrated. Yeah, it happens quickly. Not too many bad shots to make a bogey.

Yeah, you just have to keep your mind clear and then keep it in.

Q. How about that eagle on 5? I've got to ask you about that.

ADILSON DaSILVA: Yeah, it was a nice bunker shot there. I was surprised how long that 7-iron went on the second shot. It went like 170 meters or nearly 180 meters.

Yeah, man, that thing just came out, those shots they just come out perfect or not perfect. So that's what it did, and then it just sort of bounced, so sort of a bonus.

And then I actually holed another one on 12, I think it was, from the bunker. It's encouraging.

Q. Good. It's encouraging. And it's pretty firm and fast out there today?

ADILSON DaSILVA: Yeah, they were. They were beautiful out there today. The good thing is they're consistent in all the size. Consistency is insane. It really is.
