Q. Chez, what was working so well for you out there today?

CHEZ REAVIE: Hit the ball well. Made some good putts. Had a lot of good looks, which was nice. Made a few, missed a few.

Q. When you come back here do you have good vibes? You feel comfortable on this golf course?

CHEZ REAVIE: I do. You know, I've been fortunate to hit a lot of good shots out here and I've hit some bad ones, so it's kind of I've learned from the bad ones and trying to remember the good ones.

Q. In this part of the season where do you feel you're game is at?

CHEZ REAVIE: I'm playing the best I've played probably in a couple years, to be honest. The last two months I kind of started straightening it out and, yeah, hitting more fairways and giving myself good scoring opportunities.

Yeah, I'm playing as good now as I've ever played.

Q. What maybe did you have to straighten out that's helped you with your good play?

CHEZ REAVIE: I was over-rotating with my body, spinning out a little bit. You know, if I didn't flip it I would block it a little bit. And once I blocked it a few times I would start flipping it and missing it left.

Yeah, just trying to sync up my body a little better and been good.

Q. Helps to have not a two-way miss going to help the confidence.

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, yeah, exactly. Was just kind of a struggle. It's golf. Fortunately Blackburn was able to help me out. Yeah, it's been good.

Q. What are you going to focus on mainly heading into the weekend, obviously just being a couple back the lead?

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, it's just going to be hitting the ball in the fairways. If you get the ball in the fairways out here you're going to have great looks.

You miss the fairway, like I did on 17, and you're just struggling to make par. That's what makes it golf course so great.

Q. Do you feel comfortable in a shoot-out kind of format? Seems like that's what it's going to be probably here on the weekend.

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, you got to go out and make birdies. Everyone out here, they're all great players. You're not going to be able to go and kind of fake it and make some pars and give yourself a chance to win. That's not going to happen.
