Q. Great couple days of golf, yourself under par and obviously into the match-play stages. You must be delighted with that?

MARKUS LUOMA: Yeah, very delighted. Got off to a very good start yesterday and just putted very well and managed my game throughout both of these courses and just very happy that I just get to the match-play stages. That's the main goal of these two days. Doesn't matter what you shoot just as long as you're in the top 64.

Q. So is this morning more challenging particularly with the weather?

MARKUS LUOMA: Yeah, I thought we would get little showers of rain but it rained for like seven straight holes and that made it kind of difficult. Luckily it wasn't very bad, but I had a good caddie and managed to keep the grips dry and get away with a few bad shots. It's okay. It was a tough start but just managed to get it done.

Q. You played last year, so do you feel as though you're kind of learning U.K. golf, the style of links golf?

MARKUS LUOMA: Yeah, I've played a lot in the UK, like recently, and I think I really like links golf. It let's you be more creative with the shots, especially around the greens, and I learned from last year that the tournament is not over now; that now it really start. When you get to the match play, it doesn't matter who you go up against, you have to try your best to win against that guy.

Q. So have you been playing the main rota of UK championships in the last few weeks?

MARKUS LUOMA: I have.

Q. Where have you been playing?

MARKUS LUOMA: I played the Brabazon and I played Lytham and I played St Andrews Links and now this, and this really ends the British stretch.

Q. Are a few players over from Finland?

MARKUS LUOMA: Yeah, there's four guys from Finland and two coaches. We have a good group and have a lot of fun and it makes it a little bit easier to relax when you get off the golf course and prepare for the next round.

Q. So your form this year, are you keeping it going? Have you felt this kind of golf was coming?

MARKUS LUOMA: Last year wasn't that good and I only had a couple good tournaments. Now I've been on quite a roll these couple tournaments. Game starting to get into shape and just tweak a couple things that weren't good, and I've really been putting well these last couple of events. So it maybes it easier on your game.
