Q. Really well-played here at The Amateur championship. Are you happy after two rounds?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: Yeah, really happy. Didn't expect it coming into the week. Didn't have a lot of confidence but very happy the way I played here.

Q. Why were the confidence levels low?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: I mean, just wasn't hitting that great. Just, yeah, you know, I mean, that's golf. Last few days were really good.

Q. Did you find anything in practise or on the range that's helped?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: Just trust your shots. Yeah, just play your game.

Q. Looks like you're very safely through to the match-play stages. You played this championship last year and didn't progress to the match play, so you must be happy?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: Yeah, last year, I played great, too, but just a couple of holes I messed up. So yeah, I'm very happy.

Q. Talk to us about your round today. What stood out as the highlight for you?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: I mean, I played steady. Steady today. Just one bogey. Three birdies. Just didn't make any mistakes, yeah.

Q. Was there any birdie in particular that stands out as the best one?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: Not particularly, no. They were all good. I mean, probably the birdie on 5 was one of the hardest holes on the course, so happy to make that one.

Q. Can you talk us through the hole tee-to-green?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: It's a very narrow hole to drive. So I played 2-iron just right rough, and then nice, smooth 9-iron just like six, seven metres from the pin and holed the putt.

Q. Heading into match play tomorrow, is that a format you enjoy, and what's the mindset going to be for that?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: Yeah, kind of enjoy it. It's a bit different. Don't get a lot of chance to play match play. So it will be interesting, yeah.

Q. You said you didn't have high expectations coming into this week but considering how you've played, have you reassessed your goals for the week?

JARNO TOLLENAIRE: Well, yeah, I mean, goals are still the same. Just play my game. Just do my best. We'll see where I get, yeah.
