Q. Is match play a format that you enjoy?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: I love it. It's probably my favourite because I think it's a way -- it's a time that you can be aggressive and it's different. Like you have to kind of be strategic, too. So I like it because you can be very aggressive with it and I think it's a lot more fun personally.

Q. What made you decide to come across and compete in the Women's Amateur Championship?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: My teammate, Savannah, played in this last year, and she said it's amazing. I thought why not go try and experience a different side of the world, different people, different competition. I've loved it and it's been a cool experience.
Q. When did you decide to add it to your schedule?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: I honestly don't remember. I think we kind of thought about it ever since she told me about it. I think I only officially decided to play a couple weeks ago. I was kind of on the fence with a busy schedule, other tournaments in the summer and also trying to incorporate rest at the same time. It was kind of a last minute final decision but ever since she told me about it I had always had it on my mind.
Q. You've made the most of the decision so far through to the quarterfinals. Did you set yourself any goals when you came this week?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: Just have fun, enjoy it. This is a different experience. Just take it all in, soak it all in and enjoy the opportunity that God's given me. Just be thankful. We get to do something that we love every day and that's such a blessing just to appreciate and enjoy every moment.
Q. Tomorrow going to head-to-head with one of your friends; that difficult?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: No, I enjoy playing against anyone. To me I appreciate good golf. I'm not necessarily trying to beat them. I'm trying to beat the golf course and whoever wins, great. Hopefully we both play well and it would be great if I played a little better but we're friends. We've played against each other in the US Am last year so we have had experience in this kind of field before but I think it will be a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it.
Q. Who took the win last year?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: Catherine did in the round of 16. She won and went on to the round of eight. I don't know, maybe this year it will be me. I'll definitely give her a run for her money but we'll definitely have fun.
