Miami Heat
Game 4: Postgame
Denver Nuggets 108, Miami Heat 95
Q. After Game 3, a lot of you guys talked about effort and intention. How did you feel that was versus execution in the Game 4 loss?
KEVIN LOVE: I thought it was there. At the end of the day, they just made more plays than we did. Brown had a huge impact on the game, Gordon as well. We felt getting Jokic in foul trouble was to our advantage, but we just couldn’t get over the top.
We gave ourselves a chance. We got within striking distance. But on both sides of the ball, they just made more plays.
Q. You guys did a good job of slowing down Jokic and Murray. In a game like that, how much do you give it up to the other team making more plays?
KEVIN LOVE: They are a very good team. They are here for a reason. They have a number of guys on the team that can play both sides of the ball, make big impacts. It was Braun last game. They had a couple guys this game who hit shots. Even Green hit that shot in the corner.
Just a number of guys making good plays on that side as well as on the defensive side. We just have to regroup and try to push the series back here.
Q. You’ve been down in a 3-1 hole before. What can you draw upon from that experience?
KEVIN LOVE: Just like we say here, stay in the saddle. We know that anything can happen. Has been done before. In a Conference Final and Final, I have been part of it before.
You really just have to take it one possession at a time. Forget the game. It’s just one possession, one quarter, half to half. Just get it done by any means necessary and figure the rest out.
