Q. Okay, here with Mariah Stackhouse after her first round. The big moment of the round, obviously, hole in one. Can you talk me through it?

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: Yes. So we had like a 20-minute wait on that hole. We been flying all day and then there were two groups on the tee so we had to wait.

And so when the other group got to the green I actually took out one of my like knee bands for workout, reactivated my glutes, and had my caddie, John, here help me stretch.

I was like, you know, this is probably the toughest shot on the course. I was like I really just want to make sure that standing here I didn't get cold. Took a nice smooth swing. It was a perfect shot. Couldn't see it. They said it was going straight at the hole, it felt good, so I was like, all right, great. Maybe be a birdie opportunity.

Then we saw some of the guys down at the green doing some weird motions and I was like, I hope they're not saying it went in the bunker but we just couldn't tell. And so we're walking up and they start clapping and I'm like, okay, it's not in the bunker. They're like, it's in the hole. We were just like, yeah, that's awesome.

Q. That's awesome. What was the yardage? What club?

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: 185 slightly into the wind, so I played my 190, which is my 3-hybrid.

Q. Have you ever had a hole in one on the Tour before?

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: No, never on the LPGA. First one. It's my first hole in one since 2014.

Q. Okay. That's awesome.

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: Yeah.

Q. Where did you get the last one?

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: The last one I got actually at Stanford Golf Course in qualifying.

Q. Okay. Amazing.

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: Yeah.

Q. That's fun. So you didn't see it go in.

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: Uh-huh.

Q. You're waiting a long time. That's funny.

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: Yeah.

Q. So every hole in one this season, $20,000 goes to St. Jude, Score One for St. Jude.

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: That's awesome.

Q. Reaction to that? Thoughts on that?

MARIAH STACKHOUSE: That is news to me, so that's awesome. Man, definitely makes a hole in one that much more special to know that it's going to help children in need. That's what I love to hear.
