Q. All right, I am here with Danny Holmqvist at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Leader in the clubhouse right now. How does it feel? How was your round today?

DANI HOLMQVIST: Thank you. No, it was phenomenal. Had a great group out there, phenomenal weather, and the crowds were so you uplifting, so it was really enjoyable to play out here.

Q. You had several birdies out there, an eagle out there. What are you mentally saying to yourself as you're going through the round to keep that momentum going?

DANI HOLMQVIST: I think just doing the same thing. It's easy to say, but I had an eagle on a par-5 and the other two I actually par'd.

So I think there is a lot of birdies out there, and just got to try to make some putts. I mean, the course is in great shape and can't complain about the weather, so it's just exciting to be out there.

Q. Your season, you haven't played in many events. You come in here and shoot as well as you did. Did you feel good about the game coming in here? Where did this come from today, do you think?

DANI HOLMQVIST: I think it's just been a weird schedule. Like we're in June and I've played five events. Usually at this point you're kind of well in there. We've played usually in Florida before and played in several different places, and it's just been a very slow start to the year.

I'm personally a player that needs to play a lot of events that get going and kind of get into the groove, so I am looking forward to the stretch coming with more regular tournaments.

Q. The eagle at 3; how far was the putt? Just tell us about that hole.

DANI HOLMQVIST: I hit driver and I hit a 4-iron in, and just went a little bit over the green. I guess it was about 15 feet.

Q. Okay. And the other hole, the par-3 over the water -- I think it's 6 -- that's a hole that not a lot of peopled birdie; you birdied it. What did you do there?

DANI HOLMQVIST: Yeah, 7.

Q. 7, right.

DANI HOLMQVIST: It was actually crazy because we had a three-group wait on that tee box, so we were just standing there talking forever. I was like, wow we get to actually hit a shot here.

It was playing pretty long. Hit a goof 4-iron to just about four feet and made the putt.

Q. Just what are your emotions carrying the lead into the second round tomorrow?

DANI HOLMQVIST: You know, I think just that's what everyone out here -- that's what we all strive to do. Some weeks you're better than others, and some weeks you feel like you're losing.

So it's fun to actually come up on top for you once. This game is tough, and just got to cherish the moments when you actually put together a good one.
