Denver Nuggets
Game 3: Postgame
Denver Nuggets 109, Miami Heat 94
Q. How would you describe the way you guys bounced back after that Game 2 loss and regrouped to get this one on the road?
JEFF GREEN: I mean, we won. That’s what we wanted to do. I think we came out with a better focus, better attention to start our defense off with communication, which we didn’t do well with Game 2. I don’t like the way we finished, obviously. We’ve got to find a way to finish that fourth quarter and not give them any hope.
Q. Joker and Jamal made history with 30-point triple-doubles. What did you see from them and how great is it to witness what they are able to do?
JEFF GREEN: They played amazing. They took what the defense gave them. Jokic, he has been doing it all year. Both of them, Jamal as well. We feed off of those guys. They make the game easy for us and we try to do the same for them.
Q. What Christian Braun was able to bring off the bench. How do you describe what he is able to do as a rookie?
JEFF GREEN: He was huge. He was huge. His energy, the way he made plays on the defensive end that led to easy offensive baskets.
He’s very very mature for his age. He’s been in situations where he has played for a title, in the NCAA Tournament last year. Obviously, it’s not quite the same, but the aspect of fighting until the very end and fighting for a championship, he understands and he showed it tonight.
Q. Aaron in that third quarter was great. Can you talk about that energy he brings that’s so contagious?
JEFF GREEN: That’s every game. He uses his size to his advantage. The way he is on the boards. Aaron can do a lot of things on that floor.
Obviously, I don’t think he gets enough respect. I’ve always said that. He is showcasing it on the biggest stage. He gives us energy on both ends of the court, the way he defends, also the way he attacks on offense. He has been big for us.
We’ve got to keep it up. We’ve got two more games to win.
Q. To win a game on the road after they took one in your house, to take one back, what does that mean?
JEFF GREEN: We got a win. We’ve got to do it again. We have another game in a couple days. We’ve got to bring the same amount of energy and effort.
It’s just one game. Everybody has said it throughout the playoffs: It’s the first to four. So we’ve got to duplicate what we did tonight, plus a little bit more.
