Quick Quotes
Q. How did you feel like you played today?
LUKE LIST: Roller coaster like much of the week. But a lot of good. It's playing really tough out there today. So I expect some carnage later. Greens are the firmest and fastest they have been all week, with the wind. So I was really happy to be under par today.
Q. Tomorrow 36 holes U.S. Open final qualifying over at Brookside Lakes. What's the mentality that you have to bring to a day like that with the final qualifying for the U.S. Open?
LUKE LIST: It's a lot of golf, obviously, so you like to think you would be a little more patient. A lot of golf. Which means a lot of room to make up for a bad swing or a bad hole. So try to keep it in front of you on those golf course. This area hasn't had a whole lot of rain, so they're playing really firm and fast over there. I drove around Monday and it hasn't rained since then. So it's going to be a good test tomorrow. The field's really good. But I think that I'm playing some good golf, so I like my chances.
Q. Do you have any like stories from other qualifying that you kind of remember that may come to mind?
LUKE LIST: My first one ever was when I was 18 in Atlanta at Settindown Creek. And Billy Andrade made it that year, so that was kind of cool to get to know him. He was really supportive of me there and then when we went up to Olympia fields. That was a long time ago now. So, yeah, they're never easy days, but try to make light of it and just make as many birdies as you can.
