THE MODERATOR: Lorenzo, congratulations. What a comeback. You were two sets to zero down and then you turned it around. What happened?

LORENZO SONEGO: I played I think my best tennis, yeah, this year. Yeah, there was a lot of things in my mind, but I tried to stay focused every point and enjoy the moment. The crowd helped me a lot during the match. And I think I played my best tennis.

Q. It's such a huge win. Your phone must be buzzing with lots of messages from friends and family.

LORENZO SONEGO: Yeah, for sure (smiling). I received a lot of message. Obviously a big emotional moment for me and for my team, for my family.

Yeah, want to just enjoy this match right now and I want to do my best in the next round.

Q. You have had a lot of big wins in your career. Djokovic in Vienna springs to mind. How does this compare to your other big wins?

LORENZO SONEGO: Yeah, I think this is my most difficult win of my career, for sure. Yeah, I never won a match two sets down, and this my first time I win a match like that. I'm really happy for that.

Q. You were last in the fourth round here in 2020, three years ago. Just wonder how you think you have developed as a player and as a person since then.

LORENZO SONEGO: I changed a lot of thing. I tried to evolve my tennis on the net and to stay aggressive. Now the tennis change a lot, and this is best level in entire life, and I need to play my best tennis for stay in this level.

Q. You played on Suzanne Lenglen Court. How can you describe the atmosphere? How can you describe the French public after what's happen yesterday with Taylor Fritz?

LORENZO SONEGO: I didn't see nothing about yesterday. Yeah, I think it's tough to play against a French here, but I think we need to stay focused on the tennis and we don't need to think about the crowd.

Yeah, today the atmosphere was really amazing. The crowd was for me today. I take some energy from them, and I think this is nice for me to enjoy more this situation.

Q. A little off-topic. A few months ago your song got about a million views on Spotify, and I'm curious if you're working on a new one or if that inspired you to work on a new song.

LORENZO SONEGO: Yeah, I work for a new song, and I think in July maybe is a new song coming. Let's see if we do better than the first one. I don't know. Maybe.

Q. Is there anything you could tell us about it? Is it different? A different vibe?

LORENZO SONEGO: It's a surprise (smiling).
