THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.
Q. A question about coaching. From last year on it's allowed coaching between the points during a match. Do you think it's a good thing for the sport or not?
FABIO FOGNINI: I think, yes. They suggested to do something, but they're not going to change inside your mind what is better or the other player in front of you. Yeah, I think it's good for tennis to do something different.
Q. Do you use it?
FABIO FOGNINI: Now, yes, Corrado is speaking a lot. We chatted really well. I think it's a good idea.
I mean, I approve especially when we are in the same part of the court. Over there they say also, "Come on," or whatever, but not talking. I don't agree.
When I'm close to him, he has to tell me go wide or go here. Then it's me that decides if I go wide.
Q. Some good advice.
FABIO FOGNINI: They're good because, of course, when you are outside, you see I think completely different what is going on in between inside and outside. So, yeah, I agree.
Q. Just the three-set win, you must be very happy even if Felix had some problems. You must be very happy with this win. What can you say about the match?
FABIO FOGNINI: You say everything, so I'm happy, yeah. I'm happy because he is a great champion, even if I was thinking that he was not 100 percent, but once a champion like that retires in a tournament before playing a Grand Slam, he's going to play anyways, with pain or without pain.
It happened to me many times during my career. If it's bad, I feel sorry for him and wish a speedy recovery, but now it's time to look for my side.
From my side I'm happy. I beat a top 10 3-0 sets. That's never easy, and I'm happy to be in the second round.
