Miami Heat
Game 6: Postgame
Boston Celtics 104, Miami Heat 103
Q. What were the emotions in the locker room and leaving the floor?
BAM ADEBAYO: First to four. We knew the series wasn't going to be easy. People act like we're shocked that we're in dogfight with the Boston Celtics. But first to four.
Q. How do you guys recover from that ending emotionally?
BAM ADEBAYO: You go in to Boston and you get you one.
Q. Is it starting to feel that physically these playoffs are starting to take their toll? What are you guys pushing through just on that end?
BAM ADEBAYO: I see no excuses for that. You know, when you want something as special as a championship, I feel like every guy in our locker room go through a brick wall to get that.
So I don't feel like fatigue or body fatigue or anything like that is going to stand in our way.
Q. What were you trying to accomplish in those final three seconds, how did you see that play and was there even a split-second when you thought you had won the game?
BAM ADEBAYO: For us, trying to force the ball away from the basket. He missed a shot and guy ran in and got a layup.
Q. When you guys went down 10 late, what did you guys change to give yourselves a chance to make that run in the last few minutes?
BAM ADEBAYO: Got to the free throw line and we got stops. I feel like that's how we need to play 48 minutes of basketball.
Q. What do you feel like Boston has done successfully defensively in the last couple games?
BAM ADEBAYO: I feel like they have been more active. I mean, we have five -- what, five turnovers? I feel like they are active. They got a couple tough buckets. It's not really the defense. I feel like offensively, they got open shots.
Q. You were clearly trying to be more aggressive on the offensive end. Just what do you think you have to do in Game 7 to be a little more efficient with your scoring?
BAM ADEBAYO: Make a (expletive) shot. For me, man, keep shooting the shots I'm shooting. I've got confidence in myself like no other. So for me, man, feels like a lid is on the rim, but I've got to figure out how I can make that basketball go in.
Black lives matter, people.
