Quick Quotes
Q. Once again here with Linn Grant. Just saw you a little bit ago. To come away and go into the final day of the matches, after a long day how are you feeling?
LINN GRANT: Very excited. I mean, it's stressful to play match play and just -- you get so happy when you get that win, and right now I'm just really very happy and excited for tomorrow.
Q. What did you do in between to kind of reset mentally?
LINN GRANT: I had lunch and just tried to start over, not think of how I played round before. Just go out there as if it was the first round of the day and do my best.
Q. You got as much as 3-up in some situations. Albane wasn't giving that up. Did you feel the pressure coming down the stretch again?
LINN GRANT: Yeah, the last couple holes are really difficult. It can take a huge turn all of a sudden, along 12, 13, 14.
So I just tried to stay cool and keep it together and I think I succeeded that.
Q. So if I'm doing my math right, Pajaree and Ayaka and you, all 23 years old. Does that say anything about the state of golf?
LINN GRANT: Yeah, well, it's exciting. I mean, I think there is a lot of young players coming out, not only two of us, but this year, next year, the years to come. Golf is just getting better and better both on the men's and women's side.
Yeah, should have a look out for all the young ones I think.
Q. Pajaree said she's looking forward to playing you because she's never even met you.
LINN GRANT: Oh.
Q. Do you have any expectations for what the match might be like in the morning?
LINN GRANT: I hope it's going to be some good golf obviously. And, no, I'm just very excited to play and be here for another day and get the opportunity to try to get that win.
Q. Looked like again today you took advantage of par-5s on the front. I think we talked about that before, that that's where you can take advantage of this course.
LINN GRANT: Yeah, I'm very comfortable when I play par-5s. I'm usually quite far off the tee, and I enjoy hitting those second shots into the greens and giving myself some tricky ups and downs or just some good putts.
So I think that's a huge advantage for me out there.
Q. How crucial was your approach to the par-5s, not only today, but maybe yesterday as well?
LINN GRANT: Well, I mean, looking back at it, yeah, obviously that's kind of where I made my move so far.
I don't know, I just really enjoy them, so I just kind of go out with a relaxed mindset when I stand on the tee, just knowing if I hit my driver well I will have a chance to make a good birdie.
Q. You have one match ahead and potentially two. With just a final day and everything that led to this moment, how hard is it to push that out of your mind of what is potentially to come?
LINN GRANT: Well, I am just thinking that -- well, trying to think that I'm just going out and playing another match and it's probably four more days until there is a final.
You know, just try to do the best I can in that moment I'm in and not focus too much on the future or the past and just take it for what it is.
