Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Celine Boutier. Celine, being able to come out of this group stage with the win, how are you feeling after day three?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, pretty satisfied with my matches so far. Feel like I played solid all three rounds so it was very positive.
Just trying to focus on the next few rounds.
Q. Going into today's round, really came down to you or Paula. Whoever would come out of this on top was going to make it through. Is it a relief to know that all the work was worth it to get to the weekend?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, for sure. I feel like it's never done until it's done, especially on this course. There are so many opportunities, but also mistakes that you can make.
So I feel like I was really being cautious the whole round and I feel like I was happy to come out on top.
Q. You say cautious, but to get to 5-up at the point you were at, what was it about this day that you think you were most comfortable with?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think at the beginning I really didn't make that many mistakes, so it was going to be just a few mistakes on Paula's side that allowed me to have more breathing room and feel more relaxed, and that also allows you to play a little bit better, too.
I feel like when you're under pressure and you know you have to hit it tight it's a little bit stressful, especially on this course.
So I feel like I was just able to stick to my game plan and it worked out.
Q. Looks like you're most likely the highest seed left in the tournament. Does that matter to you at all or do these numbers not mean anything?
CELINE BOUTIER: To me they don't, especially in match play. Especially on this course. I feel like everyone that's here obviously is playing well and everyone has a chance, so I'm just going to take it one match at a time.
Q. You got through the first hurdle to the weekend. Are you prepared to play 36 holes a day both days if you have to?
CELINE BOUTIER: I don't think you ever are, but you have to do what have to do. So I'm just going to try to take it, again, one match at a time. Just win my match in the morning and see after that.
Q. How critical is it to really conserve the energy that you can knowing that conditions are like they are out here?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, think it's major. I feel like you have to have your whole mind to be able to think on this course.
I feel like with the heat, it's not very flat out there, so I feel like it definitely takes a toll on your body. You have to be smart about recovery for sure.
