GEMMA DRYBURGH: Those four birdies in a row right in the beginning there was nice. Good vibes with the group as well. We were all kind of playing well the first few holes.

So, yeah, nice to see some putts going in at the first few holes. Kind of helps the rest of the round.

Q. And then that last birdie you had, how do you think that will carry into tomorrow's round as well?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it was nice. I didn't have any birdies coming into this nine yet, so it was nice to get that birdie at? The last hole, some momentum.

I thought it was going to miss at the end but then curved in, which was nice, so momentum for tomorrow for sure.

Q. And then you played here last year. What do you remember from last year and this course?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, just remember loving it. It's always in great condition when we come here. Feels like a bit of a major course. Must be some of the best greens we play all year. They're so pure.

I love the bent grass greens as well, so always nice coming to the Northeast.

Q. We talked a little bit about the tight fairways. How do you mentally stay in the game throughout the round? There is never a break it sounds like.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: No.

Q. So how do you maintain that?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, we just said like there is no hole that you can open up your shoulders and go for it. There is always tight fairways on every hole pretty much, and if you miss the fairway it's penalizing.

You have to focus on a line and trust yourself, so tried to do that today. I did miss some fairways, but kept it pretty straight overall.
