Q. Magnificent round, especially given the conditions. Just talk us through it.

JUAN POSTIGO: Yeah, I played quite good today. I was quite steady off the tee. I made one mistake and was lucky enough to get the ball back in the fairway. I put great all the day. So yeah, everything came together.

Q. How are you finding the Duchess Course? It seems with it so damp, it's long and an incredibly narrow course?

JUAN POSTIGO: It's playing quite long. I'm lucky enough to carry the ball quite far. So I don't -- if I roll the ball too much, I'm quite used to this. Yes, it's playing long. Playing like five, 4-iron -- it's a very tough course and you need to be on the right spot all the time because it's not that much for a bogey.

Q. Over the closing few holes, you stepped up a gear around the rain delay?

JUAN POSTIGO: I start from 16, the par 3. I hit a thin shot to the bushes, I up-and-down and from there, I don't know how. And then I had a tremendous birdie on 17 and nice par on 18. It's never easy to close and come back and play after two hours delay but it was great.

Q. 1-under par after round one. Is that just about where you wanted to be, expected to be after the first round?

JUAN POSTIGO: Actually better than what I expected. Every round in red figures would be great and I got it and I'm happy with that. I don't know what Kipp has done, he has played well but it's going to be a good fight with him and the other guys.

Q. He's 1-under, so you're two off.

JUAN POSTIGO: That's all right. I follow the British.
