Quick Quotes
Q. Valiant effort out there and you fell to Australia, but it's been a great week for you guys. Anna, how proud are you of this squad?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, we've been playing a lot of good golf this week. I think we should be proud of ourselves. We still have a match for third. Obviously it was a little bit of a rougher morning than we hoped for, but Australia played great, and there's not much you can do then.
You know, I think we're excited to finish this week off on a good note.
Q. Caroline, being able to play for Sweden again, I know it's been a minute, how cool was it to be out there representing your country and how cool is it going to be to have a chance at third place this afternoon?
CAROLINE HEDWALL: Yeah, I've just loved the week. This is so much fun. It was unfortunate today, but Australia just played really, really well, and you can't really do much more. I mean, we're just excited to go out and play for third. We'll give it our all.
Q. Maja, first time doing all of this. Evaluate the week, and what will you be thinking about as you look ahead to this afternoon's math?
MAJA STARK: I think it's been a lot of fun. I've just been trying to play my own game, not be too influenced, but I felt pretty comfortable out there. Yeah, I just think that the shots just weren't there this morning. Didn't do what I hoped for.
But yeah, this afternoon, I'm really looking forward to it. I think we're going to fight all the way to the end?
Q. Madelene, I feel like you all have one of the arguably closer knit teams out here. How will you guys rally and really what will you discuss after this interview to try to get yourselves juiced and ready to go for this afternoon's match?
MADELENE SAGSTROM: Well, we've got a long lunch, which is nice. I think just we came here, our goal was obviously to play well, but just having a good time. We're known to have really good team spirit and we're known to get together really well. All of these girls, we've had so much fun this week. We've had so many laughs. It's just been awesome. I couldn't ask for better teammates, and we're really excited to fight for third?
Q. Anna, an assistant captain in that other team competition later down the road this year. What did you learn about your three teammates that you might apply when you're looking at things as a captain later on?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, I think I'll have some good feedback to deliver to Suzann, no doubt. It's just fun to see them in match play competition and see them take on pressure. I think that's exciting, knowing that it's a Solheim Cup year, and I think we'll see a lot of Swedes on the team.
Q. Madelene, obviously played with Maja pretty much all week this week. What did you see from her as a potential Solheim Cup rookie this year that you're excited about to have later this year?
MADELENE SAGSTROM: Well, I knew her game was good. We all knew her game was good. This is kind of her first entry to professional team events, so it was nice to have her under my wing and try to help out with whatever experience that I have. She played awesome.
We didn't play the best today, but the first three days we played really, really solid. She should be really proud of herself how she handled herself this week. I think she's -- well, we already know she's a star, but she's a future team star, too.
