Quick Quotes
Q. Alice, that was pretty cool, a heck of an up-and-down on 18 to win England's first point and only point of the week. I know you didn't advance, but the smiles on your faces say it all. What does it mean to get that win as kind of a late add and being under so much pressure?
ALICE HEWSON: I think it's absolutely huge. As I said, came quite late and didn't get in until late on Monday and it's been a bit of a whirlwind. This is my first time playing for England as a professional. It's just been an absolutely incredible experience.
I'm so lucky to have been here alongside Liz, Bronte, and Jodi, and the team atmosphere has been absolutely fantastic this week.
Q. Liz, to get a win as a four-ball teammate, as a first time representing England, could you put into words what that feels like?
LIZ YOUNG: Oh, it's amazing. We've actually played really well all week; just we've been up against some fantastic competition.
Today we got going and we dovetailed really well. It was like, come on, we can just get this one point. We can do it.
Yeah, it was amazing to represent England as a professional. It's my first time, too. It's just really special to get that point.
Q. Alice, what was going through your head? I know it was a testy three-footer, and these greens are not easy.
ALICE HEWSON: Yeah, there was quite a lot going through the head on that one. It hasn't been my best week out on the greens this week, unfortunately, but it just means so much to be able to get that point on the board for England, and yeah, happy the hole helped out and caught it.
Q. Liz, what have you learned about yourself this week? Finally got that first win on the LET last year. This was a huge moment for you. Where do you go from here?
LIZ YOUNG: Yeah, I love testing myself against the best players in the world. That's why I love playing in the majors. Anytime I get to play against LPGA players, I love it.
It gives me a lot of confidence. I can hit the shots that they can hit. I just have to be slightly more consistent. It gives me a lot of hope that I can have another good year this year.
Q. Where does that moment on the 18th green rank in your careers as the first time representing England?
ALICE HEWSON: It's right up there, absolutely. Absolutely right up there. Yeah, nothing beats winning for your country.
LIZ YOUNG: Yeah, that's up there. It's so special to represent England firstly, and to actually get a point for your country, it's huge.
Q. How will you celebrate?
ALICE HEWSON: I think we'll go out tonight.
LIZ YOUNG: Get a few drinks.
