Q. Yu, take me through what it means to close out today with a win?

YU LIU: It was very unexpected. I feel like the mindset really helped us because we were the last seeded player on the last seeded team, so honestly just not really having anything to lose.

I think just playing really relaxed and having Rachel, she's such a good driver of the ball, that I always make her hit first and put it on the fairway so I can hit with more ease?

Q. Ruixin, Rachel, this back nine the wind really picked up, so it was the first nine holes that really saw those numbers go up for you guys. What was working so well for the two of you on the first couple of holes?

RUIXIN LIU: Well, I always feel like driver is the good part of my game, so I always hit first so I can try to relieve some pressure off of Yu. We did very good on the front nine, and my irons actually and my hybrids were actually pretty good.

I'm very close to the hole. On the back nine the wind really gets me and I have a few holes I miscalculated the yardages, but Yu hit such a good shot, I think we did very good as a team together.

Q. Yu, for you, as well, what were some of the most memorable holes on the first nine?

YU LIU: The first nine I would say it's tough for me to recall anything because we were pretty focused. It's like a very nice mode, like nice play, focused but relaxed.

Q. Ruixin, how did you adjust when the wind started picking up? Did you feel that you needed to make any adjustments with the U.S. Team kind of on your heels and chasing you all day?

RUIXIN LIU: Yeah, because Lexi is a very long hitter, so we are always first to hit, so the pressure is on us a little bit. But the wind is kind of sideways most of the time, so we tried to be safe, at least I am, I tried to put it on the greens so Yu could be aggressive towards the win?

Q. Xiyu, I know you and Ruoning were able to watch the last hole of this group. What was it like watching your teammates go against the No. 1 ranked Team USA?

XIYU LIN: I'm glad they win. I think by just listening to what they said, I think give myself a little bit of inspiration because I think I put a little too much pressure on myself today. Ruoning did pretty good but I was like a little tight, and plus the green wasn't very easy.

I just not really playing how I should have played. But you know, luckily we're playing a team event, so we've got our teammates, so I think tomorrow try to relax a little bit and then try to play a little more like myself. Hopefully that will work.

Q. Ruoning, as the youngest person on your team, what was it like, this whole experience day one for you?

RUONING YIN: I mean, it's my first time to play team match play like this. I think we did a pretty good job today and just couldn't hit on the fairway. I think we'll be good tomorrow.

Q. I know you and Xiyu have some plans. Where are you going after this?

RUONING YIN: We are going to the Warriors versus Lakers game tonight.
