Q. Talk us through the putt on 18.

TONY ROMO: I'd say that was probably about 18 to 20 feet, I think.

Q. Did you feel like that got you back in it? Did you feel like you needed that desperately?

TONY ROMO: Yes, I desperately needed it. There's times when -- sometimes you just feel like you have to make certain putts, for multiple reasons. The obvious one strike zone scoring one. Had a great two swings, and he was in a good position. He played great today, shot 67, and that was great scoring, especially since the wind picked up.

Q. The scoring was the obvious reason. What was the other one?

TONY ROMO: Just the emotional aspect of feeling like -- I talked to my caddie coming into the last, I said, this one literally feels like we're into the final round now. It set up the momentum for tomorrow. Obviously if you don't make it, you don't, but sometimes they feel like you really need to, and that one did.

You've got to play good golf. There's a lot of really good players in this, and Mardy is always a guy who's going to be there throughout it because he's like a Tour ball striker. Just the way he was playing today, to keep myself in it to where you don't have to do something crazy tomorrow.

Final rounds, they're always interesting.

Q. How are you as a mudder?

TONY ROMO: Oh, gosh, tell me what's happening tomorrow.

Q. It's going to be raining. It looks like playable rain, later tee time because it could clear out later.

TONY ROMO: What time do we tee off at?

Q. You're not going to tee off until noon. It'll be raining in the morning and hopefully clears up by the back nine, something like that, so it's going to be wet. How are you as a mudder?

TONY ROMO: Well, I've mudded plenty of times in football. Whenever you have a golf tournament where the tournaments are tougher, it's a good thing. I think if you play well, you're able to really make up grounds because everything is more difficult.
