Quick Quotes

Q. You cap off two crazy weeks for you on the PGA TOUR; I'm sure you're ready to put the clubs away a little bit. As you think about this past week, what are your takeaways?

JON RAHM: You know, I can't help but be proud of what I've done this week. To come here, I know the expectations weren't really high to the public, but in my mind every time I tee it up I'm going to try to do my best. After a shaky first round, to play as good as I have -- I played really good on the weekend, I just didn't make the putts, and give myself a chance to even get close to the top 10, it's great.

I didn't really know what to expect exactly out of myself and how I was going to feel mentally and physically, so I'm proud of the way I pulled through. I'm incredibly proud of finishing with a bogey-free Sunday on a very difficult golf course with that birdie on 18. It's all smiles for me today, and I'm going to go enjoy my afternoon off.

Q. Do you feel like you learned anything new about your limits, you mentioned mentally, physically, when it comes to this game?

JON RAHM: Yeah, you do. I mean, last week was a very stressful week, but it always is. But the way that was in, the way the weekend unfolded, all the restarts, the rain, the wind, it was very draining. There was 30 holes on Sunday; I was exhausted.

You're not really expecting to play usually after a week like that, especially after a major, and to come here and to be honest feel as good as I did -- besides the first day, I felt pretty good out there on the golf course. I'm kind of surprised. I kind of saw what I'm capable of. Again, had I been able to manage that first round to make a few better putts inside 10 feet, not that I would have won, but I would have had a really good chance at a top 10 or maybe top 5 and put myself I'd say at least in the conversation.

Either way, very happy. I believe in this game (indiscernible).

Q. Your play was incredibly solid, put on quite the show for the fans all week, especially that last birdie on 18 today. You came over here to do media and walk past all these kids, they're screaming your name; you have amazing ovations as you walked up the 18th fairway. I know you've always had wonderful ovations, but this feels different.

JON RAHM: Yeah, this is leaps past anything that I've felt before. Obviously when I go to Spain, I get ovations and I get moments like this in my home country. I don't get to play there often. But to do it here on U.S. soil and see the recognition from the crowd and the kids, it only validates the decision to come here this week and make them really happy.

It's been a lot of fun, and hopefully I can (indiscernible).

Q. I think you've earned a little bit of time off. I know you're going to be playing Mexico, but what does this next week look like for you?

JON RAHM: Well, we have a celebration planned for Tuesday. Travel day tomorrow, most likely won't be touching any clubs through Wednesday, maybe until Friday. We'll see how the week unfolds, but it's time to be home and it's time to be dad.

Q. What does the celebration look like?

JON RAHM: I don't know, Kelley planned it, so I really don't know what to expect.
