Q. Here with Brooke Henderson. I know not the last few holes you wanted, but, hey, really solid round out there, 3-under 69. Got on a stretch on the front nine. Tell me about those holes.

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, the front nine was a lot of fun. I was making a lot of birdies and giving myself a lot of the good opportunities. So, yeah, it was a lot fun that front nine.

Unfortunately dropped a couple shots here on the back nine. Hopefully just go out there and do the same thing the first nine holes and just clean this up a little bit.

Q. Was the putter hotter on the front nine? Finished with 30 putts; not really what you want. But what was working so well during that stretch would be a better question?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I hit a lot of greens. I had a lot of good birdie looks and made them early, which was fun. They weren't really too far either, so it was kind of nice to have the ball striking a little bit more how I normally hit it. And then was able to roll in those putts so it was good.

But I've said all week that you're going to make bogeys on this course so you just got to make as many birdies as you can to kind of make up for it. Same thing tomorrow. Hopefully try to be a little bit more aggressive and see what happens.

Q. You birdie your last two holes yesterday. Talk about coming in off those two birdies.

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, it was great momentum yesterday to birdie 17, which is a really tough hole, and 18, which is a birdieable par-5. To get those two birdies and then to go into the front nine I did today, I just had a lot of momentum, a lot of good vibes. Things were going pretty well.

Q. A lot of top players aren't here. Probably getting ready for Chevron. For you was it like, I'm not missing Hawai'i; I love it here?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I love this event. It's been really good to me. It's just such a beautiful place to spend the week, so I always really enjoy it.

I really like to play before majors, kind of get my game rolling and in good shape. I think this tournament and this championship is a great way to do that because it's very challenging especially with these conditions.

Q. This is your seventh appearance here. Have you been here every year possible that you could have been here?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I think so. Yeah. (Laughter.)
