Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Yu Jin Sung, a sponsor invite this week. Playing really good golf.
YU JIN SUNG: Yep.
Q. Just tell me about your round today.
YU JIN SUNG: So it was really windy day today and then just physical condition-wise I'm still getting used to the jet lag, so it was tough. Fortunately the wind direction was the same as yesterday, so it was easy to adjust.
Q. What did you learn from yesterday that you applied to today?
YU JIN SUNG: So yesterday I tee'd off pretty late, and by the time I finished the round it was getting close to sunset. There was a lot of wind, but today in the morning just making sure that I didn't get too flustered when the wind did blow.
I think that was the key today.
Q. Just wondering, it's really, really windy out there. You still have been able to shoot really well. What's the main key for you be able to handle these kind of conditions?
YU JIN SUNG: Not much pressure, but the fact that I'm carrying the Korean flag and playing in the LPGA stage, I'm trying to put more focus on that.
Again, not trying to perform well per se, but just trying to perform well as a player representing my country.
Q. Any shot in particular you were really happy with today that stands out in your round?
YU JIN SUNG: So I played pretty well today, so I don't really remember. They're all good shots. I do remember one shot that wind into the hazard. (Laughter.)
Q. Which hole was it that the shot went in the hazard?
YU JIN SUNG: I think it was the 16th hole; the shot with my driver hit into the hazard.
Q. You've won a LOTTE sponsored event on the KLPGA before. How cool does it feel to be playing good in another event being sponsored by such a prestigious Korean company?
YU JIN SUNG: Yeah, seems like my relationship with LOTTE is pretty good. I'm hoping to continue to perform well at these events and do even better empty later rounds.
Q. And then just mindset. What will you be thinking as you head into the next two rounds in contention?
YU JIN SUNG: I'm going to try to be aggressive in the next two rounds.
