Q. Tell us about your round.

THOMAS PIETERS: I just didn't get anything out of my round. I three-putted three times, which I just can't do. That was really the key. I missed a bunch of makable putts. Yeah, not very happy.

Q. Attitude is a big part of it. This game is fun, but attitude is a big part. What's your attitude?

THOMAS PIETERS: I got to make some birdies somehow. I've got to keep calm and take my -- you're going to get on runs here. There's definitely birdies out there. You got to give yourself looks at it is all.

Q. Fun day? Did you enjoy your time out there?

THOMAS PIETERS: I did. Until 15 I did. It's not bad, 15 out of 18.

Q. It's pretty good?

THOMAS PIETERS: Yeah.

Q. When you decided to make the jump to LIV, did you at the time think you would be done playing European Tour events?

THOMAS PIETERS: No, but it's their decision, and I respect it. It's whatever.

Q. Would you be willing to work with them if -- obviously you have a contract, and you have to play the 14 LIV events. Would you work with them?

THOMAS PIETERS: I would love to play at home. I would love to play my home Open. I don't see how it's good for the game if I have to skip the tournament. They're just hurting themselves really. But you've got other players coming through, I guess.

Q. Are other players talking to each other about we have to do something about this?

THOMAS PIETERS: No. It is what it is. We had it coming. It's just part of the deal, I guess.

Q. What's your best Viktor Hovland story?

THOMAS PIETERS: I just don't have any, sorry.
