Q. Tell us how did this happen?

JOSÉ ANDRÉS: So he calls me. He's like, hey, what are you doing Wednesday? You want to caddie the par-3? And I'm like what? Yeah. So here I am.

You know how much I love this man. Not only an amazing player, but a great guy. I think many of us we enjoy watching him play for years, but many of us will enjoy watching him play Masters.

For me it's like Forrest Gump. I'm carrying his balls and cleaning his clubs and hitting one ball in the water.

Q. How is he as a caddie?

SERGIO GARCIA: It's great. It's great. Obviously he's a great friend, not only of me, but of my family. He's an amazing, amazing chef, but an even better person. We thought it was a good opportunity for him to get an even bigger taste of the Masters, and he did great.

He gave me some good reads here and there. It was difficult to swing with a bib on.

JOSÉ ANDRÉS: He's covering me. Next time hole-in-one.

Q. Caddie, take us through the round, the highlights of this round.

JOSÉ ANDRÉS: Yeah, hole No. 1 was amazing. I told him to put it in the hole, but he didn't follow my orders. So we did okay anyway. Two, three birdies until I didn't make it happen on the 9th.

So very steady. He is in control of the ball. He's controlling the wind. He's controlling the grass. He's controlling the trees. He's in control. I think we're going to see very good days.

Q. He's clearly a fan. Tell us what you think about what he does and the work he does.

SERGIO GARCIA: What José does, it's amazing. Not only the way he cooks and everything, but what he's doing for humanity itself. It's unbelievable to see him, all the places he goes with World Kitchen and everything that he's doing. To be nominating for a Nobel prize, it just says it all.

JOSÉ ANDRÉS: But Sergio and Angela, his wife, they have a foundation. They do a lot of good things too. I was recently at a fund-raising event in Austin where everybody came from the golf family. All Austin came and beyond.

I came to support him and Angela, and they're doing great things, also supporting different organizations. So everybody does their part.
