Q. I think we are more interested in your perspective. How many times have you caddied for him?

MURALIDHAR THEEGALA: Not much. Actually only when he was younger, maybe 6 or 7 years old. After that it was all him. I would just carry the bag because it was heavy, but he would do all the work. I would just carry the bag and stay with him.

This is the first time after maybe 15, 16 years. So it's fun to be on the bag, yeah.

Q. How did he tell you, or when did you make the decision you wanted him on the bag?

SAHTIH THEEGALA: Honestly for me it wasn't even a decision. I knew right away when I had the opportunity. I didn't think about it right when I knew I was in the Masters. But once I got the letter, no brainer, my dad's going to caddie.

Nobody else even got a say, which is how it should be, because he's the one that got me here. It was an easy decision, and it was so much fun. It's something I'm never going to forget for the rest of my life, and I'm sure my dad won't either.

Q. So the highlights of today and also the highlights of seeing your son competing?

MURALIDHAR THEEGALA: It's a dream come true for sure because I was a tennis player. How Wimbledon is, the Masters is the Mecca of golf. I'm excited to be here, and I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can.

Q. Last thing. After a day like this, you can relax, prepare for the week, knowing that you have your family supporting you. What are your expectations?

SAHTIH THEEGALA: Honestly, no expectations. I kind of scheduled my practice days out, so this is the easiest day for me. I feel like I'm going to have a lot of energy come tomorrow again.

I've just been playing really well. I haven't done anything different to prepare for anything. I feel a little more energy having my best buds and my family around. No expectations. Game's been trending really good. Just approaching it like any other tournament.

I know I'll be nervous on the 1st tee box, but once I get that shot out of the way, it's just business as usual.
