Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Hyo Joo Kim after her third round to you DIO Implant LA Open. What were some the challenges out there for you today, and some of the good stuff, too?
HYO JOO KIM: On the first half, the front nine, the putter was working really well, but my shots weren't really on par with my putter, so I was kind of busy with my recovery shots.
Hopefully the shots tomorrow will be better than today's.
Q. What was different about the course for you today? Was it playing much differently than the past two days for you?
HYO JOO KIM: So not this much difference in the course, but no preferred lies today so definitely a lot of just mud on the ball.
Q. They kept showing on television you had like a hot water bottle on your stomach. How much was that bothering you during the round?
HYO JOO KIM: Yeah, it's okay. I think I should be all right until tomorrow.
Q. It was a little warmer today for you but you still had the hand warmers. How important is it to stay warm and loose out there when you're feeling a little colder?
HYO JOO KIM: Yeah, my hands tend to get really cold, so even when the day gets warm I still use the little hot pockets, hot packs, to keep myself warm.
Yeah, just staying warm in general is important for my game.
Q. Heading into today with the lead, does that change your mentality at all heading into moving day? Do you feel like you still have to be aggressive or less aggressive when you have the lead?
HYO JOO KIM: Not that much. Just trying to translate what I was hoping to do in the practice round during play.
And just because I'm at the top the leaderboard doesn't change how I approach play.
Q. Do you like being the chaser on the final day, or would you rather be in the lead having someone trying to chase you down?
HYO JOO KIM: Yeah, doesn't really matter to me. I don't really mind. Really no preference.
Q. Have you been at all thinking back to your win in Hawaii last year throughout your round today? Has that crossed your mind? I know you held the 36-hole lead back then.
HYO JOO KIM: No, I forgot everything that happened last year. I want to be better this year than I was last year.
