Augusta, Georgia, USA
Quick Quotes
MONET CHUN: It was definitely tough out there. The wind was blowing pretty hard today. Couldn't really keep it on the greens too well, but I thought I managed the round pretty good.
Q. What did you do when the rain suspended play?
MONET CHUN: I just sat down and played some hangman with my coaches. I did that. Yeah, just sat around and talked to my sister a little bit.
Q. Was it a good thing for you to take a little pause and then come back on the course? Or you didn't like it?
MONET CHUN: I was neutral to it really. It was fine. Either/or. It did feel like I kind of got it going after 9 a little bit, so I was hoping I could still play.
But we did get called in, so trying to manage that.
Q. Overall, what did you learn about this tournament and you?
MONET CHUN: It's a spectacular event. It's always tough to play amongst some of the best golfers out here. Yeah, just a really good round, couple rounds of golf, and I was pretty excited to be out here.
Q. At the U.S. Am, you said you learned a lot about yourself. Have you learned more about yourself here at Augusta?
MONET CHUN: I think so, yeah, for sure. I feel like there's lots of areas I could improve on. I definitely am leaving here more learning about the areas I do need to improve on for the next couple tournaments I do have. Yeah, I think it was a good play of golf for me.
Q. Can you explain the areas?
MONET CHUN: I would say trying to manage the wind a little better. Some of the carry distances weren't matching up today, which was unfortunate. I think just working on that for the next couple of events would be helpful.
Q. What are you the most satisfied about?
MONET CHUN: Honestly just being out here and playing.
Q. In your game.
MONET CHUN: I thought I managed the course pretty good. I had some tough breaks around the greens for sure, but I -- yeah, I thought I did a pretty good job.
Q. Is it because of missed reading or just like course knowledge?
MONET CHUN: A little bit of both, yeah.
Q. Great. So what's going on with you now? Are you staying tomorrow? When are you leaving?
MONET CHUN: I am leaving tomorrow morning. I have to go back to school and be a regular student, so yeah. Heading back to Michigan.
Q. Any exam coming up?
MONET CHUN: No, I finished it just before I got here.
Q. Will it be tough to tee it up like in two weeks or two, three weeks at the next event? I know that's the NCAA, but it's not the same as Augusta.
MONET CHUN: It's definitely not going to be at the same level, but it's still a good round of golf. Hopefully I can do my best out there.
