Quick Quotes
Q. Megan, your first competitive round of golf here at Augusta National. Tell us about your experience today and what makes this round different.
MEGAN SCHOFILL: It was just awesome having all the patrons out here today. It's always amazing when you get to play Augusta National, but to play a competitive round out here is just something you can't put into words.
Playing the back nine first was a little bit tough just because Amen Corner is really hard, as I found out today. So to play the front nine and end on that, had a couple birdies coming in. So it was a really enjoyable day.
Q. As you mentioned, you teed off on 10. Talk about the difference on the front nine.
MEGAN SCHOFILL: Front nine was really windy because of the bad weather coming through. It's kind of tough to trust the wind. The greens were pretty fast. It's just a hard golf course. So it's just tough, especially when you played at this level with all these people and this big of a tournament, it puts the pressure on you that much.
Q. What was the difference on the second nine?
MEGAN SCHOFILL: I feel like the second nine, I knew there were some birdies out there. Felt like I was hitting the ball well, just couldn't get anything going on my front nine.
Just probably calmed down a little bit and got comfortable.
Q. You got a lot of support today. How many War Eagles, do you think were thrown your way?
MEGAN SCHOFILL: I think a lot. It was really nice to hear that on the golf course.
