Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Bailey Tardy after her second round at the DIO Implant LA Open after a hole in one on 17 right here. Take us through the shot, yardage, club, what you were feeling when it happened.
BAILEY TARDY: It was 143 to the hole into the wind. We had just got put on the clock so we were being timed. You know, just didn't really have a great round going. Birdied the hole before, so just grabbed my 8-iron and swung away.
It was a little left to right wind, and, yeah, hit right behind the hole and went backwards. Yeah, it was great.
Q. When you saw it go in what was the reaction? What were the thoughts going through head?
BAILEY TARDY: I've never had a hole in one before, so that was pretty exciting. Yeah, I think I just threw my arms up and dropped my club. I don't really know. I blanked out. It was super cool to see it go in the hole.
Q. First one ever in your life?
BAILEY TARDY: Ever, ever, ever.
Q. I love that. Okay. Amazing. So one last thing.
BAILEY TARDY: Do they have it on camera?
Q. I don't know.
BAILEY TARDY: There is a camera over there.
Q. So potentially they do. So every hole in one this season that is made $20,000 gets donated to St. Jude's Research Hospital for our partners with CME Group. So any thoughts on that? How excited are you to learn that you just put in a big donation towards solving childhood cancer?
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah, that's great. One of my best friends had a cancerous tumor when she was born and was only supposed to live until she was seven and she's 24 now, so that definitely hits home, and super happy I'm able to donate to a good cause.
