Quick Quotes
Q. Assessment of the golf course and nuances that you got to learn today?
JENNY BAE: I think the golf course is in great condition. I think the last three holes that I played, it was a little bit windy, so it was a bit tricky for me and my caddie to get the right number, but I think we're really ready.
Q. What does the preparation look like with the impending weather that's going to come this way?
JENNY BAE: I think the only difference that I would maybe make is to just club up a little more. My caddie and I, we're both used to playing in the rain, but it's just because I play at the University of Georgia, and for me there's not going to be much much a change.
Q. Based on where you're from in relation to campus, what are you expecting for crowds of family and friends?
JENNY BAE: I'm going to have a lot. I have a lot of relatives that I haven't seen in a while and their friends and other people, but I'm more excited to see them than them ever giving me pressure.
Q. What surprised you most seeing the course out there today?
JENNY BAE: Not as much as last year. Last year was the first time that I got up here, and it was just really great. Like I honestly don't remember much from last year. I was just so in awe.
But I think this year since I literally have to tee it up tomorrow, I think it was just more of how tight and more narrow it is that I actually have to focus on my targets and being able to land it there and have confidence.
Q. What was your favorite hole out there today?
JENNY BAE: I'd have to say 16. I think it was really fun trying to use the slopes to get all the way back down, and if you don't it's kind of a really tricky hole. To me that's really challenging, and I like challenging.
Q. Is there anything you noticed playing your practice round today that you didn't notice last year?
JENNY BAE: Like I said before, I think I really realized that the fairways are really narrow, and there are some places near the greens that I just can't miss. If I do, then it's going to be a really tough up-and-down to make.
Q. I think it's kind of funny that after last year when Anna won, she didn't really truly realize the history of the golf course as such a young player. You probably have a different perspective. For you to be here once again, what kinds of things do you pick out and notice of the history and the nature of Augusta National?
JENNY BAE: To be honest, I don't really -- I too don't really know much about the actual history of it, but I am excited, especially for the upcoming generation of female amateurs that are really going to make an impact because this is only a few years that Augusta National Women's Am has been hosted and the Masters, the PGA have been going on here for years. I think for me I'm just really excited to show the younger ones that they also have a chance to come up here and be one of the best amateurs in the world.
