Quick Quotes
Q. So drinks are on you later after that hole in one?
BOHYUN PARK: Drinks are on me.
Q. Can you take us through the hole?
BOHYUN PARK: Yeah, I wasn't able to putt too well on the front nine, so I was like, just get it on the green. If I hit it close it's better. (Indiscernible).
I actually kind of thinned and was like, please just carry the water, and as soon as I saw the ball bounce, okay, thank God. I looked away, so I didn't see the ball go in, but I saw everybody raising their hands.
Oh, wow, that's a bonus.
Q. Why did you look away?
BOHYUN PARK: That was really unexpected, out of blue hole in one. I was just glad that I got on the green.
Q. What club did you hit and what was the number?
BOHYUN PARK: I hit an 8-iron I think around 144 yards. Hit an 8-iron and thought it was perfect distance.
Q. How many aces have you had in your life?
BOHYUN PARK: Good question. I had my last ace during a Stanford intercollegiate, and that was my fourth or fifth, so this will be my fifth or sixth.
Q. So many you've lost track. Amazing. (Laughter.)
BOHYUN PARK: Yeah.
Q. This is your debut in this tournament.
BOHYUN PARK: Yes, first time playing.
Q. Can you talk about your expectations for tomorrow and Saturday?
BOHYUN PARK: Tomorrow, we kind of had a practice round here with my university team and the coaches, so I have an idea what the course looks like. Again, that was a month ago. The course is super wet.
But just enjoy every single moment because this is like a lifetime event that you're going to get. Just come here, have fun, make the cut, and just try your best and see what happens.
Q. What was where you first impression a month ago?
BOHYUN PARK: I thought -- first thing that shocked me was how undulated the course was. Everything was super pure. There wasn't a grass out of position. Greens are super pure. We had a nice member, so we had so much fun out here.
Q. Found any good Bola places?
BOHYUN PARK: I'm a Bola fan, but have not. Trying to figure out today.
Q. From playing the course what would you say is your favorite hole and the hardest hole?
BOHYUN PARK: I would say favorite hole, I have a bad memory so I can't remember what hole it was, but there was a hole where I -- oh, hole 7, par-4. Hole 7 I birdied two days, so I was like, okay.
Hole 8 too, because I made a hole in one.
Q. What about favorite hole at Augusta?
BOHYUN PARK: The par-3 on the back nine.
Q. 12?
BOHYUN PARK: The flowers. I didn't hit a good shot during the practice round but it was pretty, so I'll pick that.
Q. Was it dry at least?
BOHYUN PARK: Not really. It was kind of wet, but it was drier than we thought with the rain that they had.
Q. What's your favorite thing about playing in the Am?
BOHYUN PARK: I think just enjoying the history behind all the courses and the club, and it just means a lot to be out here playing this year, like not stress about it too much, try to enjoy every moment.
